Hello, my name is Allison, and I will be working with the students in the Tigers classroom.

I went to school at Harper College for my Associates

in Arts and a Certificate in Early Childhood Education.

I currently am taking classes online at Aurora University

for a degree in Social work, and hope to go back to school to receive my degree

in teaching within the next year or so.

I have been working with children since I was sixteen years old and am good with all age groups.

I have worked at daycare centers, as a nanny, and I babysit from time to time for families.

I have about six years of experience in this field and the age level

I have most experience with is infants to four years old.

I love doing hands on art projects, being active in the classroom and making sure

the activities engage the children.

I am a firm believer that your imagination should always be able to shine

and therefore I try to plan activities that allow children to express themselves.

I have always enjoyed working with children because they teach you things

 you never thought possible.

You are able to help them develop, grow, and really learn who they are,

and it is such an amazing feeling when you know what

you are doing is having an impact on another person.

I pride myself on not only being a teacher, but also a learner in the moment I am working with children.

You learn what they love, what excites them, and what activities to plan for them.

Most importantly, I am impacting their youth years to help them be successful in the future.

In my free time, I am usually on a run training for my first marathon,

spending time with family and friends, or finishing a DIY project.

I look forward to working with your family doing what I love to do.
